Botanical Imagery Paintings
Botanical Imagery Paintings are created by the integration of botanical items with the paint medium and surface to create and represent the organic elements of the subject matter. Stages of botanical and paint layering processes are performed, with each process lasting several hours to several days to complete, with a minimum of 4-5 layers processed per painting.
Each botanical item is hand selected and harvested to best support the creation of the subject matter of the painting. Typically a minimum of seven botanical items are integrated into each artistic creation and vary based on their size and the size of the painting and subject matter. Paintings of a larger size typically require the use of at least 50 or more botanical items.
